Kate Middleton's Affordable Style

She may be royalty, but that doesn't mean Kate is giving up her thrifty ways! See Catherine Middleton's cheap-chic style!

Royally Cheap Chic
Despite having access to the world's finest couturiers and designers, Kate Middleton has her feet firmly planted on solid ground. She prefers to buy off the rack and frequently indulges in retail therapy among British high street labels including Issa, Whistles and Reiss. Check out Kate's cheap chic-style!

All About Issa
Kate Middleton made it perfectly clear that her affordable style wasn't going to end the minute she became a royal by wearing this navy dress to her official engagement announcement. The draped jersey from by Issa costs a reasonable $535.

Ra Ra Reiss
Forget stylists, Kate dug into her own closet for her official engagement photos and produced this Reiss Nanette dress for the occasion. The ruffle-embellished frock was recently reissued for $310.

Whistles a Happy Tune
Kate is a gal after her own heart and she knows you don't have to spend a fortune to look like a princess. For her engagement photo, she cuddled up to Prince William in a $205 embroidered silk blouse by Whistles. The brand cleverly reissued the top and dubbed it the Kate.

Totally Temperley
For a Christmas event with her Prince, Kate upped her style ante with a black-and-white dress by Temperley. The frock, which featured macrame detailing and a trim waist, was from the fall 2009 collection and showcased the brand's signature bohemian look.

For an affordable take on Kate's out, try Alice by Temperley, the brand's lower-priced, but equally stylish younger sister.

Race Day
For a day at the races, the new Duchess of Cambridge showed off her mastery of spring's white hot trend in the floaty Peacock Dress by high street brand Reiss. She paired it with Joseph's Nellie Tweed Jacket and L.K. Bennett's Sledge2 Court Shoe. The dress retails for $375 and the shoes for $280. The jacket is pricier at around $750.

Affordably Presentable
For her first meeting with first lady Michelle Obama, Kate put her best foot forward in Reiss' tan Shola dress. The $340 sheath with a square neckline and origami pleated waist has been reissued in the same camel color Kate chose, due to high demand.

Resort Cheap Chic
Kate wore Alexander McQueen finery for her wedding, but the day after she was back to her high street ways. She wore a blue pleated dress by Zara, paired with her fave L.K. Bennett patent wedges and a cropped jacket.

Birds of a Feather
The day before getting married, Kate stayed casual and comfortable in a bird-printed dress by Issa and her fave L.K. Bennett wedges. A white cardigan topped off her look.

Lady in Red
Kate turned heads in this trim vintage-inspired suit. The daring red ensemble was made of wool and crafted by Italian designer Luisa Spagnoli. The look isn't as affordable as her regular looks, but for an outfit this versatile, $820 for the skirt and jacket is relatively reasonable.

Totally Topshop
Brits love Topshop and Kate is no exception. She stepped out on a casual day in a black-and-green floral printed dress from the high street retailer. The dress is long gone by now, but you can probably snag something similar for less than $100!
