Oscar winning writer, William Monahan (THE DEPARTED) will direct luxurious historical drama BECKET, according to "FirstShowing". The period story will describe the friendship and estrangement between King Henry II and the Archbishop of Canterbury. The film will depict the world of the Plantagenets and a double tragedy with two heroes,each of them paradoxical, each of them brilliant, each
